Mapelastic Smart is a two-component mortar based on cementitious binders, ne-grained selected aggregates, special admixtures and synthetic polymers in water dispersion, blended according to a formula developed in MAPEI’s own research laboratories. When the two components are mixed, a blend with a plastic consistency is obtained. It may be applied by brush, by roller or by spraying with a worm screw rendering machine on both horizontal and vertical surfaces at a thickness of approximately 2 mm. Due to the content and high quality of the synthetic resins, the hardened layer of Mapelastic Smart remains constantly exible under all environmental conditions. Mapelastic Smart is waterproof and resistant to the penetration of aggressive substances which are present in the atmosphere, such as carbon dioxide, sulphur dioxide and sulphuric anhydride, and soluble salts such as chlorides and sulphates, which are present in seawater or in the ground. Mapelastic Smart has excellent bonding properties on all cementitious, ceramic and marble surfaces as long as they are sound, suf ciently clean and properly prepared. These properties, together with its resistance to the deteriorating effect of UV rays, a characteristic of this product, ensure that structures protected and waterproofed with Mapelastic Smart have a long service life, even if they are located in areas with particularly rigid climatic conditions, in coastal areas with a saline-rich atmosphere or in industrial areas where the air is particularly polluted.

Keralastic and Keralastic T are two-component, solvent and water free adhesives which are exible and waterproof. They are made up of a polyurethane base (component A) and a special hardener (component B). On mixing the two components together, the result is a paste with the following properties: · good workability; · excellent durability and resistant to ageing; · perfect adhesion to all surfaces used in building; · hardens by chemical reaction without shrinkage (until it becomes highly resistant); · high deformability; · in the case of Keralastic T, highly thixotropic: it can be applied vertically without slump and without letting even heavy or large tiles slip. The slipping strength is in compliance with EN 1308.

Keraflex is the family of cementitious adhesives characterised by high performance and extreme versatility for installing ceramic tiles and stone, including large formats and over large surfaces. One-component, easy-to-use products with excellent workability, all the adhesives in this range also have very low emission of volatile organic compounds and are classified EMICODE EC1 RPlus by GEV.
Keraflex adhesives are especially suitable to bond all types and sizes of ceramic tile and stone material on internal and external surfaces, to overlay old floors with ceramic tiles, terrazzo and stone material, and to bond floors subjected to high stresses and intense traffic.
